Wax to Shine LIVE
Wax Build Up

Imagine being able to make the jewelry you've always wanted to wear.

Not choosing from someone else's designs. Not compromising on the shape, texture, or details you imagined.
But creating something entirely your own, with your own hands.

A ring that starts as an idea, slowly takes shape in wax, and becomes a beautiful piece of silver jewelry you can actually wear.

In 10 weeks, I'll teach you how to make your own silver ring from start to finish,
using the beautiful, organic Wax Build-Up technique.

No previous experience needed. No expensive studio. Just a few essential tools, your kitchen table, and the desire to create.

And the best part? You'll know how to do it all over again.

I WANT TO MAKE MY OWN JEWELRY

What would you make if you knew how.

Perhaps you've been saving images of beautiful handmade rings for years. Admiring unusual shapes, interesting textures, and designs you wish existed, while imagining how you would make them just a little different.

Or perhaps you've already attended a jewelry workshop. You loved the experience, the feeling of creating something with your hands, but once you were back home, you weren't quite sure how to continue.

You have the ideas. You have the curiosity. Maybe you've even bought a few tools.

But between imagining something and actually making it, there are still so many questions.

Where do you begin? Which tools do you really need? How do you create the shapes you imagine? And how does that little piece of wax eventually become a silver ring?

It's not a lack of creativity that's holding you back. It's not knowing the entire process.

And that's exactly what I want to teach you.

Because once you understand how to take an idea from your imagination, shape it in wax, have it cast in silver, and finish it yourself, something changes.

You're no longer dependent on someone else to guide every step.

You can begin making whenever inspiration comes.

SHOW ME HOW

One ring is just the beginning.

Imagine opening a little package from the casting company.

Inside is your ring. The one you designed and shaped in wax, now transformed into real silver.

It still needs some finishing, but it's there. Something that existed only in your imagination a few weeks earlier is now something you can actually hold.

You file, sand, and polish the surface until the details of your design come to life. And finally, you slip it onto your finger.

You made this.

But what excites me even more is what happens next.

Because now you know how it works.

Perhaps you'll make another ring, a pendant, something meaningful for someone you love, or even the beginning of your own collection.

Or perhaps you'll simply enjoy having a creative practice that belongs entirely to you. A moment away from the noise of everyday life, where you can follow your curiosity and create without everything needing to be perfect.

The real gift isn't just the ring you make. It's knowing that you can make another.

LET'S START NOW
A silver ring with a textured, organic wavy band and small raised floral details, displayed on a wooden ring stand over a smooth white stone.

From your imagination to silver.

Wax to Shine LIVE is my 10-week guided online jewelry-making program, in which you'll learn the complete Lost Wax process using the wonderfully intuitive Wax Build-Up technique.

Unlike traditional wax carving, where you remove material from a solid block, Build-Up allows you to create shapes by gradually adding and melting layers of wax.

A curve here. A little more volume there. A texture you hadn't planned.

You can experiment, change your mind, and discover unexpected forms as you work. It's a technique that gives you an incredible amount of creative freedom, without needing years of traditional goldsmithing experience.

And you can do it all from your own kitchen table.

One ring. The complete process.
Skills you can use again and again.

Here's how your journey unfolds.

01  IMAGINE | From inspiration to design
Discover the possibilities of the Lost Wax Method, explore your ideas, and learn how to translate them into a design you can actually make. You'll get familiar with your tools, materials, and workspace, without unnecessary investments.

02  CREATE | Give your ideas shape in wax
Learn how to work with heat and wax, build organic forms, create texture and volume, and gradually shape your own ring. I'll show you how to refine your design and prepare it for casting, with room to experiment along the way.

03  TRANSFORM | From wax to silver
Learn how to prepare your wax model for professional casting, where to send it, and how casting and silver costs are calculated. You'll understand how the process works, so you can arrange it independently for future designs.

04  FINISH & SHINE | Make it wearable
When your ring returns in silver, you'll learn how to file, sand, and polish it by hand. Step by step, you'll transform the raw casting into your own finished piece of jewelry, ready to wear.

Learn from home, with guidance along the way.

I know how different it can feel to watch someone make something beautiful and then sit at your own table, wondering what to do next.

That's why Wax to Shine LIVE combines the freedom of learning at home with the guidance of working together.

You'll receive clear, step-by-step video lessons and written guides that you can follow at your own pace, alongside four LIVE online LAB sessions where we work through the important stages of the process.

You can ask questions, show your work, receive personal feedback, and learn from the experiences of other makers.

And between sessions, you'll have access to our private student community, where you can share your progress and get help when you need it.

Hai, I am Daphne

I'm the maker and teacher behind DVDM Atelier, and I've been exploring the possibilities of the Lost Wax Method for more than 20 years.

What I love most about working with wax is the freedom it gives you.
To create shapes that would be difficult to make using traditional metalworking techniques, to follow your curiosity, and to discover something unexpected along the way.

Through my workshops, atelier sessions, and online courses, I've helped many people discover how accessible this beautiful craft can be.

And over the years, I've learned that teaching isn't just about showing someone how to use a tool. It's about helping them understand the process well enough to make their own decisions.

Because that's when you stop following someone else's design and begin discovering your own.

I'd love to help you experience that too.

No previous experience needed · Learn from home · Guided step by step

A few things you might be wondering.

I've never made jewelry before. Can I really do this?

Absolutely. Wax to Shine LIVE is designed for beginners. I'll guide you through the entire process, from your first experiments with wax to finishing your ring in silver. You don't need any previous experience.

Do I need a jewelry studio or expensive equipment?

Not at all. You can create your wax models at your kitchen table with a small collection of tools. The actual casting is done by a professional casting company, and I'll show you how to arrange everything.

What if I'm not particularly creative?

You don't have to arrive with a perfect design or know exactly what you want to make. We'll explore ideas and possibilities together, and the Build-Up technique gives you plenty of room to experiment and discover shapes as you work.

What if I can't attend a LIVE session?

[ADD: Recording availability and catch-up information.]

Can I add gemstones to my ring?

You'll receive bonus lessons introducing different stone-setting techniques, including bezel, claw, and flush settings. Adding a stone to your first ring is optional.

How long will I have access to the lessons?

[ADD: Confirmed access period.]

Can I use what I learn to create jewelry to sell?

Yes, the skills you learn can become a foundation for creating your own designs or developing a small collection. You'll also learn about suppliers and basic production costs. The program is focused on teaching the complete jewelry-making process, rather than running a jewelry business.

What happens after purchase?

You’ll soon receive an email with the first module. It explains exactly what we’ll do and where to purchase your STARTER KIT items, so you can start immediately on the program’s start date.

What would you create if you finally knew how?

A ring you've been imagining for years? Something meaningful for someone you love? Perhaps the beginning of your very own collection?

You don't have to know yet.

You don't have to be perfect.

And you certainly don't have to become a professional jeweler to give yourself permission to create.

You only have to begin.

I'll show you how.

LET'S BEGIN
