DIY Kit Wax Modelling a Ring

Let your hands tell the story

Create your very own ring or pendant from the comfort of your home with this DIY Wax Modelling Kit. A playful, meditative process that invites you to slow down and make something truly your own. Whether it’s a solo evening with a cup of tea, a creative moment shared with a friend, this kit is your invitation to connect with the craft.

You’ll receive everything you need to start shaping jewelers wax into a piece of jewelry that reflects you. You don’t need experience. Just a little time, some curiosity and you can rework your design as often as you like. Once you're satisfied with your design, send it back to me in the included tin. I’ll cast your piece in the metal of your choice and return it to you, ready to wear and treasure.

What’s inside the kit?

• 1 ball of jewelers wax (enough for one ring or pendant, or 2 small ones)
• Modelling tool for carving and shaping
• Ring sizer to find your perfect fit
• Texture sticks (2 types) for adding details
• A little box with talcum powder to keep the wax from sticking
• A tin for safely returning your wax model
• Return form to indicate your ring size, metal, and shipping details
• Information booklet (available in Dutch, English or German)
• Return shipping of your finished jewel, beautifully wrapped

Want to make two pieces from the wax? That’s possible too, just note this on the return form. (Additional casting fees apply.)


When your wax model is ready
And you would like to have it casted, please send it to the address provided on the returnform. Once I receive your wax model, I’ll weigh it and send you a short video and the invoice to the email address provided. (Unless you have opted for the DIY kit including casting in silver) Casting begins once payment is received. Payment is by bank transfer. (PayPal and credit card are also available with a 3% surcharge on the total amount incl. tax)


Costs for casting in recycled silver

€45 casting & finishing fee
€3,50 per gram of cast silver

I use the following formula to calculate the cost
1g wax = 11g silver. Most rings weigh between 6–18g of silver depending on your design

You’ll find current prices for gold plating on my website. For solid gold, I’ll prepare a personal quote for you.


A few practical notes
If the wax design proves impractical to cast, I’ll return it to you for further refinement.
