  • Let's make a Ring in Wax together

    And turn it into a unique Silver wearable piece of jewelry. In this Wax StarterClass, you create a ring from scratch in wax. Side by side I will guide you exactly how to, and explain all you need to know to create your unique ring in the best way possible.

  • This Wax StarterClass gives you the foundation to emerge yourself in the world of wax jewelry making through a technique called Lost Wax Casting.
    We start with the needed tools, where to buy them. Followed by creating your first wax ring using Wax Carving.
    From a solid piece of wax you extract the shape, just as a sculptor carves a block of marble. This technique is best done with hard wax. You will cut, saw, and file or work the wax with different tools.

    Within wax filing are many sub-techniques, such as texturing both by removing and adding material, filing a signet ring, carving a shape from a block, and much more. We will explore these as time allows.

  • What is included in the Wax StarterClass

    • 2.5 hours undivided time with me to work on your jewelry project
    • a deep dive into the Wax Carving technique, explaining you anything that you can think of that you can achieve with this technique
    • all the wax needed for your project
    • use of all the tools and the studio
    • thorough explanation of the casting process (how to prepare your wax, how it works, where to cast your jewels, the cost of casting, making molds)
    • tool list specified for your chosen technique
    • supplier list on where to get the tools needed
    • plenty of time to have all your questions answered
    • tea, coffee and cookies


    Think of this StarterClass as time to experiment with guidance. It's just as much about making your dream ring as learning the technique and how it works. You will learn as much as you can in this 2.5 hours time, all to make sure you can go home and make wax jewels by yourself.

    This Wax StarterClass does not include a finished silver ring.
