WAX TO SILVER JEWELRY COURSE

From curiosity to mastery in 2 weeks,
discover how to turn any creative impulse into a powerful, personal piece of jewelry using wax.

In this two-day course, I’ll guide you step by step. You’ll discover how to create jewelry with your hands, your attention, and the material—pieces that are not only visible but tangible.

What is included:

+ Introduction to wax – the different types, their properties, and what each is best suited for.

+ Introduction to tools – which tools you need and which are best for specific projects.

+ You’ll gain knowledge of various wax techniques, including:

• Wax Carving
• Wax Building
• Wax Modeling
• Incorporating natural elements into wax
• Basics of adding (precious) stones

+ You'll gain insight into the Lost Wax Casting technique and casting process, and learn how to best align your design with it.

+ You’ll receive an overview of foundries in the Netherlands and Europe and learn how to calculate the cost of turning your wax master model into metal.

+ You’ll work with different types of wax, each with their own character and possibilities.

+ You won’t just learn technique—you’ll learn the language of the material. You’ll start to discover what happens when you dare to listen to what the shape wants to become.

+ You’ll be surrounded by inspiration and exchange with other makers—each with their own style and vision.

+ While working on your chosen projects, you’ll learn how to build, file, shape, and refine the wax.

+ Small group, lots of personal guidance. (Groups fill up quickly—don’t wait too long!)

+ Use of all materials and tools in my studio, fully equipped for wax work.

+ Delicious lunch, tea, coffee, and snacks.

+ Two full days of inspiration, creativity, and new knowledge.

And of course, we’ll get hands-on. Depending on your level and what you want to get out of the course, I tailor my guidance to each participant. We’ll work practically on your chosen designs, and everyone will work at their own pace and skill level.
